We are thrilled to introduce Alberto Onetti, Full Professor at the Department of Economics of Insubria University, Chairman at Mind the Bridge, and Board member at Liquid Factory, as our next guest at iBicocca’s Platinum Course
Professor Alberto Onetti graduated with honours from the University of Pavia as a student of Almo Collegio Borromeo. He later achieved a Ph.D. in Corporate Strategy and a Master in International Finance.
However, his vision extended far beyond Italian borders. In 2005, Alberto Onetti began collaborating with Silicon Valley as a Visiting Professor at the College of Business at San Francisco State University. He also co-founded Funambol, a Silicon Valley-based startup offering cloud services for telco companies.
His expertise has also been recognized by the European Union. In 2014, the European Commission appointed him to lead the Startup Europe Partnership (SEP), an open innovation platform that supports European startups in connecting with large companies and investors.
More recently, he has joined the board of Liquid Factory, a startup studio dedicated to attracting top European and Italian talent to innovative entrepreneurial projects while maintaining a strong connection with Silicon Valley accelerators.
Since 2009, he is also the president of Mind the Bridge, a global open innovation platform that empowers economy through entrepreneurship and innovation.
