Association’s Diary #01

December 4, 2024 by Andrea Stramondo

E-Club Bicocca was officially born on June 11th, 2024, as it was registered by our university. This was really the last step of a process that started way before it: we have iBicocca to thank for its effort to coordinate with Ventures to help bring this project to our university. Because of this, during Titanium 2023, we were invited to participate in USC on the following April. This was actually how the board first got to meet! It was great, but the most important part was getting to know Ventures, with which we started working on bringing the association to Bicocca.

In May 2024 we started advertising the project up to giving out flyers on campus to spread the word to everyone we could. We also worked on adapting the objectives to our chapter and defining the collaboration with iBicocca. In the end we were finally able submit our application: we had intense days, rushing to have the documents ready by end of May: it wasn’t easy, but we finally celebrated when we got the confirmation email!

After that we started planning ahead on our events, attending meetings with the rest of the network as Brand started building our website. We worked on designing and coding together until we managed to get our website and social media pages up and going. This last one wasn’t easy: Instagram banned us with no reason two times! In the meanwhile, the People group worked on more new associates’ requests, and we grew larger.

After that we attended the new students’ welcoming, meeting a lot of promising new associates and spreading the word, as well as participating in iBicocca’s presentation for Platinum 2024.

Our next step was joining the rest of the network in Synlab Italy’s Hackathon in November as organizational partner, planning with Synlab’s team for the event. It was a very educational experience and helped on getting ready for the next big step: University Startup Challenge 2025!

We continue supporting each and every one of our associates in their path towards innovation and entrepreneurship through developing their skills, getting to meet them inspiring speakers and getting them tools to build their idea.

Stay tuned to stay updated about the association’s journey.
