🚀 BUILDING YOUR SUCCESS
Do you have a business idea but don’t know how to turn it into a concrete project? Don’t worry, there’s a tool that can help you: the Business Model Canvas. The BMC was developed by Alexander Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur to be a strategic management and entrepreneurial tool.
✍🏻 HOW DOES IT WORK?
- Key Partnerships → Who are your partners/allies? Which partnerships can give you a competitive advantage?
- Key Activities → What are the essential operations you need to manage?
- Key Resources → What do you need to achieve your value proposition? (People, technologies, skills)
- Value Propositions → What is the thing that makes your offer unique? Why should they choose you over competitors?
- Customer Relationships → What type of relationship will you build with your customers?
- Channels → How will you reach your customers? What platforms and tools will you use?
- Customer Segments → Who are your ideal customers? What problems do they want to solve?
- Cost Structure → What are the main costs and how can you keep them under control?
- Revenue Streams → How will you monetize your offer? (Direct sales, subscriptions,…)
📊 WHY IS IT SO USEFUL?
The BMC allows you to keep every aspect of your business idea on a single page, helping you visualize the business model in a cleaner and more immediate way. By answering simple questions, you are starting to build an effective model.
💡WHICH ARE THE ADVANTAGES?
- Clarity and focus → it allows you to have a complete picture of your business
- Risk reduction → it analyzes your business by identifying weak points
- Identification of opportunities → it allows you to discover opportunities and new areas to explore
- Presentation to partner or investors → it is a perfect start to present your business idea to potential investor, partners or clients
✴️ AND NOW? JUST TRY IT!
You can start with a blank sheet of paper and draw the blocks. Don’t stress about everything being perfect on the first try, the BMC is a flexible tool: you can edit and refine it as you develop your idea!
